She graduated from Portland State University with a bachelors in Anthropology. Jennifer has three years experience as a graphic designer for Portland State and as a volunteer designer for Kumoricon, an annual Anime convention in Portland. She has also five years experience as a watercolor artist. Jennifer had several spotlights in Deviant Art (an online art community) for the paintings: "Stellar Jays" and "Chickadees".

Birds became a major subject after receiving inspiration from wintering white egrets in the Tualatin wetlands.

In addition, she also draws from contemporary artists, ancient art and tradition art forms. She likes to combines of the concepts of simplicity from Buddhism and the details and movement of Art Nouveau.
